Welcome to the El Paso Border Folk Festival (BFF) Music Conference! This event is the perfect opportunity for mariachi music enthusiasts to come together and share their passion.

During this conference, you'll have the chance to learn from some of the best mariachi musicians. We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and performers who will be sharing their expertise and passion with you. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced mariachi musician, there's something for everyone at this conference.

Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to attend workshops, performances, and presentations. You'll be able to connect with other mariachi music enthusiasts, share your own experiences and learn from others. Classes offered are as follows:

• Violin

• Trumpet

• Harp

• Guitarron

• Rhythm, Vihuela & Guitar

• Voice

 

Rates for conference registration:

• Early Bird Music Conference: $100 (thru July 31, 2026)

• Regular Registration: $115 (thru Sept.15, 2026)

•  Late Registration: $125 (beginning Sept. 19, 2026)

 

El Paso Area School District Programs-ONLY

School programs paying by check, please use the El Paso School Programs ONLY - MUSIC REGISTRATION ticket option. Payment can be made at Registration Check-In.

All other registrations please use the Individual/Group MUSIC Conference Registration ticket option.

The conference will be held at Pebble Hills High School on Wednesday, Sept. 30 & Thursday, Oct. 1 and will move to the Plaza Theatre on Friday, Oct. 2.

The conference will culminate with a concert at the Plaza Theatre on Fri. Oct. 2 at 7pm. Paid registration to the conference includes a ticket to the Mariachazo concert at the Plaza Theatre featuring Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan and Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan! Registration MUST be fully paid by 9/30/26 to receive concert ticket. NO EXCEPTIONS. 

 

Teacher Attendance
Teachers are welcome to attend the conference with their students at no cost (limit of 2 per school program). If you wish to attend the Mariachazo concert, teacher tickets are available for $45 each, with a maximum of two per school program. Concert attendance is optional and not included in the complimentary conference access.

General Public Concert Tickets

For those not attending the conference and wish to enjoy the concert, tickets are now available for purchase through Ticketmaster.com or via the Plaza Theatre ticket box office. You can avoid Ticketmaster fees by buying directly from the Plaza Theatre box office.
